Student Organization & Conflict Awarness Training (SOCIA)
Student organization training requirements for the
2016-2017 academic year include Student Organization Conflict & Identity
Awareness Training (SOCIA). SDSU SOCIA Training is offered in
collaboration with the National Conflict Resolution Center, an organization
that promotes collaborative dispute resolution and conflict management to
individuals, organizations, and society.
Trainers offer a wealth of applicable knowledge and
information to leaders on how to successfully engage with different conflict
roles. Additionally, students learn valuable aspects of identity awareness
which helps them become effective leaders as well as diverse individuals. SOCIA
trainings as a whole, can be seen as a leadership and personal enhancement
