Sign Up Now - SDSU Leadership Summit

The Leadership Summit is a day long program designed to expose students to a variety of leadership topics, current issues, and sessions on personal and professional growth. The Leadership Summit is open to all SDSU students.  

Date: Saturday, February 27, 2010

Location: SDSU's newest building: The Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center

Time: Check in from 8:15-9am, Keynote begins at 9am

The Leadership Summit will have three exciting paths:

** Essential Email Tools for Student Leaders

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Included in the fee: A day full of leadership workshops, lunch, afternoon snack, a luxury SDSU Leadership Programs padfolio, and networking opportunities.

Sign up by February 10th and pay the early bird registration fee of only $30.00. After February 10th the registration will be $50.00.

Keynote Speaker

San Diego State University proudly welcomes Audrey K. Chisholm, J.D., as our keynote speaker for the Leadership Summit.

Dr. Chisholm has a law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law and a bachelor's degree from Florida State University (FSU).  She started college at the age of 16 years old and graduated from college and law school debt free.  While attending Florida State University, she was elected President of her Senior Class, elected Homecoming Queen, and inducted into the Senior Hall of Fame.  While in law school, she excelled academically as the Executive Editor of the prestigious FAMU Law Review (top 15% of class/top academic writers).  She was the recipient of the coveted Percy R. Luney Spirit of Service award and won the FAMU Outstanding Law Student Award.

Dr. Chisholm knows the challenges and rewards of business.  She began building her first company, Revolution Leadership, Inc., at the age of 17 years old while in her sophomore year of college.  Revolution Leadership, Inc. is now 8 years old and teaches high school juniors and seniors entrepreneurship and awards annual scholarships.  In 2009, Dr. Chisholm was recognized by the United States House of Representatives for her charitable work with Revolution Leadership, Inc.  She has also built a successful privately owned retail store, AKH Apparel, LLC (www.AKHapparel.com) and is a successful real estate investor. 

Dr. Chisholm is dedicated to philanthropy.  She currently serves on the National Board of Directors of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society.  She formerly served on the board of FSU Torchbearers and FSU Recent Graduate Development Council.  In 2009, she received the “Certificate of Congressional Recognition” from the United States House of Representatives for her work in the community.  She is the Youth Pastor of Center of Faith Church of Apopka, Florida and is happily married to author Juan P. Chisholm (www.JuanChisholm.com).

Dr. Chisholm has traveled abroad to Europe several times.  She was educated in a private school in Scotland during elementary school.  She studied abroad in La Universidad Polité in Valencia Spain.  She has traveled to London, England, Germany, Madrid and Segovia, Spain, Rome and Florence, Italy.  She speaks fluent Spanish.

Dr. Chisholm is a national speaker and presenter.  She gave the Florida State University commencement address for an audience of over 13,000 people including the former Vice President of the United States of America.  During the 2008 elections, she served on a televised panel with Senator Hillary Clinton and has spoken to audiences throughout the country including businesses, nonprofits, universities and more.
